The Florida League of International Baccalaureate Schools, Inc. (FLIBS) was founded in 1988 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. The mission of the organization:

The Florida League of International Baccalaureate Schools fosters excellence in international education for students in our region through

  • Support of students in IB programmes
  • Support of teachers and administrators in IB programmes
  • Premier teacher education and professional development

To accomplish this mission, FLIBS works with students, teachers, schools, governments, other Associations of IB World Schools and the International Baccalaureate.

FLIBS currently supports our members (authorized and candidate school programmes in Florida) by promoting the expansion of the IB program, offering high quality teacher and administrative training, and providing advocacy services to ensure that state and local government officials recognize the importance of the IB program as an effective path to school wide improvement and student achievement.

FLIBS also provides its member schools with the opportunity to participate in quarterly meetings to discuss best practices, school curricula, administrative and fiscal issues relevant to the IB program.
